We partner students wanting to learn and teach basic business skils with adults that have developmental disabilities; to give each of them the skills and support they need to build meaningful lives in the community. The program teaches youth about basic business and helps the disabled adults to learn how to hold real jobs and develop relationships and interactions with customers and companies. Our program offers a brighter future; and a plan that focuses on hopes, developing skills. We have found this helps the youth develop busienss savy for thie rfuture endevors and the adults with learning disabilities to hold a purposful job and lead full and successful lives within their communities while working with regular store staff. This program is a community service and is as personal as it can get. To better accomplish our goals, we participate with youth from our local communities in order to foster a shared sense of community spirit among people of all abilities. We have found this to prgram to be a tremendous success. In addition we send people in our program into the community to work with facilities offering horse rescue to benefit the horses and Tack Warehouse donate products or offers products at cost to facilitate this. |
